YMCA

The YMCA is a world-wide organizaion that aims at implementing projects and programs to aid in youth development and community growth. Specifically, the Y that I interned at in East Cobb, GA, focused on creating summer camp programs that benefitied not only the youth but the working families in the community.
I was the media intern for Summer 2017 and helped my mentor and a team of dedicated people with all types of tasks. I was able to oversee many different projects that directly influenced member satisfaction. This internship allowed me to explore my creative design side as well as improve my Microsoft Excel skills.
As Media Intern I:
- Created a monthly healthy recipe newsletter for members of the facility.
- Worked closely with staff to create programs that support YMCA core values in the community.
- Planned monthly membership appreciation events such as: National Ice Cream Day, Father’s Day, and Pay it Forward Day.
