Working with my Mentor Teacher
Dr. Melanie Davenport

Working alongside my mentor teacher was one of the most meaningful parts of my teaching journey. After first learning from her as my graduate professor, I had the opportunity to continue growing under her guidance in the classroom, where her passion for adaptive arts and unwavering commitment to every student deeply inspired me. Her extensive knowledge of multicultural artists and inclusive teaching practices continually opened new perspectives for both her students and fellow educators. Watching the care, creativity, and advocacy she brings to education has greatly shaped the educator and artist I strive to be.
